Getting started
Open 1v1chatmatch.com in any modern browser, on a phone or a computer — there is nothing to download and no app store involved. Tap Start Matching, allow camera and microphone when the browser asks, and the matchmaker pairs you with a real person who is online at that moment. Your first matches are free, and no sign-up wall stands between you and a first look around. The full walkthrough, with pictures of the loop, is on How 1v1ChatMatch Works.
Camera and microphone permission
Your browser controls the camera and microphone, and it asks before anything turns on. If you tapped Block by accident, click the lock or camera icon in the address bar, set camera and microphone to Allow, and reload the page — that fixes nearly every black-screen case. Denying permission on purpose is fine too: you will not appear on video, but text chat keeps working. On phones, check that the browser itself has camera access in the device settings as well.
Matching and skipping
The matchmaker pairs you with one person at a time, chosen from whoever is online right now. There is no compatibility quiz and no gender filter — the point of a 1v1 chat match is meeting someone you would never have picked from a list. Not feeling a conversation? Tap skip and you are instantly with someone new. Skipping is free, unlimited, and carries no penalty; the other person simply moves on too. If you prefer choosing a face first, you can browse who is online from the home page and start from there.
Text and voice
Every match includes text chat alongside the video, which is handy for noisy rooms, shy first minutes, or languages you write better than you speak. Voice runs with the video once your microphone is allowed. A conversation that starts in text and warms up into voice is normal here — nobody expects you to open with a monologue.
Coins and charges
1v1ChatMatch is free to start: opening matches come free for every new guest, with no card details asked. Longer sessions may use coins, the in-product balance. Every price is displayed before anything is charged, and there is no silent billing — if a screen did not show you a cost, it did not cost you anything. Your current balance is visible inside your account. If a charge looks wrong, email [email protected] with the approximate time and amount and we will trace it.
Reporting and blocking
If someone breaks the rules on a call — explicit content, asking for money, anything that feels off — tap report on the call screen. The report reaches human moderators with the context they need. Blocking sits next to it: one tap and that person can never be matched with you again. Both are free, instant, and anonymous toward the other user. The rules themselves are spelled out in the Community Guidelines.
When something technical goes wrong
Most glitches clear with boring fixes, in this order: reload the page; check that your connection is stable; make sure no other app is holding the camera; update the browser; try a private window with extensions off. A VPN can slow video or confuse the country detection, so try without it. On mobile, switching between Wi-Fi and cellular often settles a frozen call. If the site itself seems down for everyone, give it a few minutes — maintenance windows are short.
Your account and your data
Guests can match and talk without any account. Signing in with Google keeps your coins balance and call history in one place across devices. To delete your account and the data stored with it, ask through the Contact Us page and we will remove it. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored, and the honest answer is: less than you would expect.
Still stuck?
If none of the above solved it, write to [email protected]. Tell us what you tried, what you saw, your device and browser, and roughly when it happened. Screenshots help for anything visual. A human reads every message — usually within one to three business days, faster for safety issues.
